Zamil Structural Steel Co. wins SAR 34 M contract for Ethane Deep Recovery Facility Project

Zamil Structural Steel Company (ZSSC), a business unit of Zamil Steel Holding Co., was recently awarded a project contract valued at SAR 34 million by Hyundai Eng'g & Construction Co. Ltd., to supply steel structures to Saudi Aramco's Ethane Deep Recovery Facility Project
The Ethane Deep Recovery Facility project will involve the recovery of ethane, propane and natural gas liquids from sales gas at 'Uthmaniyah. Hyundai Engineering and Construction has signed a contract to build a project for Saudi Aramco's Uthmaniyah plant for 833.10 billion, and expects the contract to be completed by Nov. 26 2019
The aim of the Uthmaniyah project is to recover ethane as well as propane and other natural gas liquids (NGL) from 1.4 billion standard cubic feet per day (scf/d) of sales gas. Uthmaniyah is part of Ghawar, the world's largest onshore oilfield. The plant has a processing capacity of 2.5 billion scf/d.
