Sector Businesses Benefit from Timely Building and Interiors Expo

Three Zamil Industrial Investment Company sector businesses report successful participation in the Gulf International Exhibition for Construction, Interiors and Furniture 2007 (GulfBID). Zamil Steel Pre Engineered Building Division (PEB), Arabian Fiberglass Insulation Company (AFICO), and Canam Asia Ltd. (CAL), exhibited at the event, which was held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, at Bahrain International Exhibition Center from 15-17 May 2007.

More than 195 exhibitors came from 18 countries to showcase their products and services at the most extensive exhibition of construction materials, interior products and design and furnishings ever held in Bahrain. According to the event organizers, many of the attending companies are planning to expand business across the Gulf to take advantage of the booming property and construction market.

The exhibit areas of the ZIIC sector businesses were noteworthy, displaying banners, distributing brochures as well as presenting several 3D models of pre-engineered steel buildings. Zamil Steel PEB Division, the global leader in the manufacture of low-rise pre-engineered steel buildings, introduced its innovative products, services, and custom steel building solutions to attendees. Canam Asia took this important opportunity to showcase samples of its roof and floor steel decks to interested visitors. Afico, the region's pioneer in insulation products since 1982 and celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, displayed its wide variety of top-quality fiberglass insulation solutions for residential and industrial applications.

The exhibition provided a unique and important opportunity for the ZIIC sector businesses to showcase their various products and solutions, as well as to interact with many successful industry professionals, resulting in the formation of new business partnerships and alliances, especially among the experts from Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.

GulfBID 2007 also presented a convenient and informative opportunity for investors, contractors, builders and consultants as well as architects and interior designers to examine new products and learn more about the latest technological developments in the construction industry.

The event was an especially timely one for the ZIIC sector businesses, as the company's Total Building Solutions philosophy is designed to satisfy the business requirements of the building and construction sector, which is currently experiencing a substantial growth surge in the GCC countries, with no apparent end in sight.
