Zamil Steel signs export contracts worth more than USD 18.5 million in 19 countries during last quarter

Zamil Steel announced that during the past quarter it has won contracts worth more that USD 18.5 million for the supply of different steel structures to 19 of its export markets in Asia, Africa and Europe.

All the three divisions of the company: the Pre-Engineered Buildings Division (PEB), the Structural Steel Division (SSD) and the Towers and Galvanizing Division (T&G) have been very active in expanding their export markets.

One of the largest export projects awarded to Zamil Steel, during this period, was the SR 12.5 million contract to design, fabricate and supply all the pre-engineered steel buildings for A’saffa Poultry Farms project in Oman. The contract includes the supply of 86 buildings with a total covered area of 118,000 m2.

Zamil Steel was also awarded the supply of the steel for the Shuweihat Independent Water & Power Project in Abu Dhabi.

The company has also signed major contracts for the design, fabrication and supply of transmission towers in Algeria and Tunisia.

Zamil Steel is considered the largest exporter of pre-engineered buildings in the world, and its PEB factory is the largest worldwide with a capacity to produce more than 500,000 m2 of pre-engineered buildings per month at its plant in Saudi Arabia.

Both the Structural Steel plant and Towers & Galvanizing plant are state-of the-art in their fields and the largest in the region.

The company operates two PEB plants in Egypt and Vietnam and has offices in 40 countries the largest of which are in China and India.

Zamil Steel is a unit of Zamil Industrial Investment Company (ZIIC), a publicly traded company, which includes two other units, Zamil Air Conditioners and Zamil Glass.
